Donna Watts-Nunn

Donna Watts-Nunn brings over three decades of heart, hustle, and leadership to the world of arts and nonprofit management. As Managing Director of Hammonds House Museum, she is the steady hand behind the scenes—making sure the museum runs smoothly, its systems are strong, and its vision continues to grow. She thrives on building efficient, sustainable operations that support creativity and community impact.

Donna's journey started at Wolf Camera + Video, where she made history as the company’s first Black woman store manager. That early role set the tone for a career defined by breaking barriers and building strong teams. She went on to co-found Atlanta Street Theatre Inc., nurturing it as Managing Director for more than 25 years with the kind of care and structure that allowed the company to flourish.

Throughout her career, Donna has lent her talents to some of Atlanta’s most respected arts organizations, including the Alliance Theatre, Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre Company, and the Names Project/AIDS Memorial Quilt. Her board service includes Impact Theatre Company and the Gloria Watts-Cox Foundation, Inc. Whether managing operations or supporting fundraising efforts, she’s known for her calm leadership, strategic thinking, and commitment to getting things done with purpose.

A proud graduate of Clark College (now Clark Atlanta University), Donna is deeply rooted in Southwest Atlanta, where she’s raised two daughters and now enjoys the role of grandmother. Her passion for the arts is matched only by her dedication to making sure the organizations she serves are positioned to thrive for generations to come.
