Leadership

Unique Leadership Structure at Hammonds House Museum

At Hammonds House Museum, our leadership model is intentionally designed to foster collaboration, innovation, and excellence in the stewardship of African descendant American visual culture. The Museum is guided by a dynamic team, each bringing distinct expertise and vision to their roles. This collaborative model ensures that strategic planning, curatorial direction, and community engagement are informed by diverse perspectives and deep subject-matter knowledge.

Our leadership team includes executive roles such as the Managing Director and Artistic Director, who work in partnership to shape the Museum’s artistic vision, expand its institutional impact, and drive mission-focused growth. By integrating curatorial, administrative, and strategic functions, the Museum’s leadership structure empowers us to break new ground in arts programming, champion the advancement of Black artists, and deliver transformative cultural experiences for our community.

This unique, team-based approach sets Hammonds House Museum apart—ensuring that every initiative is guided by both operational excellence and a bold, forward-thinking artistic vision.
